Sick kid, tired mama

It's been a while since Ella's been sick, and boy have I forgotten what it's like to care for her! One minute she's happy and huggable, the next she's scratching my arm and screaming at me, then throwing a fit and having a meltdown.

Since she had a fever, I stayed home (we're vigilant about managing her fever since we've had a scare with a febrile seizure). I ended up napping for 2 hours while she laid next to me watching Disney Junior.

Her fever is down and she's playing by herself: coloring, puzzles, and finger boarding. Hopefully the worst is over... but boy, how exhausting. With all this election stuff going on today, I would vote for someone that mandated midday nap time.
